At Highland Manor Retirement Lodge our services and care are based upon the wellness model.  This holistic approach attempts to meet the resident’s physical, emotional, cognitive, spiritual and social needs.  We emphasize each individual’s role as full participants in Highland Manor.

 Our primary goal is to encourage residents to be as independent as possible.  We try to maximize this independence while fully respecting the dignity, privacy and individual needs of each.

 Our services and programs are developed through a team effort.  We wish to work closely with families and significant others and the community in always seeking a quality of life that is meaningful to the resident.

 We do indeed, consider ourselves, in many ways, to be members of an extended family.  Unlike a hospital environment, where patients normally leave within a short period of time, our residents are sometimes with us for years.  We become not only servants to them, but friends.  We keep our relationship on a professional level, yet at the same time, enjoy the friendly interactions with them.

 We believe you will find Highland staff to be a special group of people.  They are this way because they enjoy providing services to this special group of seniors.

 We are always interested in your thoughts and ideas regarding what is going well and areas in which you feel we can improve.
